Tips For Eating Healthy When Eating Out

Eating healthy when your eating out can definitely be a challenge. There are so many bad choices to choose from. Anything from fried or breaded chicken to a huge hamburger loaded with toppings and a side of fries. How can you possibly eat healthy with choices like these? Here's how.

Drinks
You can easily eliminate hundreds of calories and a ton of sugar by getting rid of your normal drinks. Instead of what you normally get try water, unsweetened iced tea, milk, or any other option they have that doesn't have added sugar.

Salads
This is one of the biggest things you can do. Ordering a salad will make you less hungry as well as giving you a lot of your vegetables for the day. Also, make you sure you ask for your dressing on the side. By doing this you'll save a ton of calories as well as sugar.

Entrees
If you are ordering something on a sandwich, ask for whole-wheat bread instead of white. If your getting meat, ask for it broiled, steamed, or grilled instead of fried. Also don't forget to have a fruit or vegetable with your main dish.

For the Hardcore People:
Eat everything with your opposite hand so you eat slower. It may feel weird at first but it definitely works! Also try to down 16 oz of water before your main meal. This will help fill you up even more so you'll eat even less.

3 Reasons Why You're Not Losing Weight

Weight loss is not that difficult. You eat healthy, whole foods, you do cardio and lift weights, and you get enough sleep. But sometimes, there can be factors that can affect the weight loss process.

3. You Think You're Eating Healthy, but You're Not

This is a big one for most people. A lot of people will have frozen dinners and on the label it claims to be healthy, but it really isn't. Or, they'll have diet sodas or reduced fat foods of what they used to eat and think that there eating well, but in reality they aren't. Try to stick with foods with 1 ingredient, like an apple, a chicken breast, or broccoli. At first, this may be tough for some people, and if it is for you, just be smart. Don't  think that diet soda is good for you, because it isn't. Eat and drink smart and you should be fine!

2. You Don't Workout Enough

A lot of people just simply are not in the gym enough. Walking 20 min a day 4 days a week is definitely good, but if you want to lose weight any time soon, crank it up. Instead, it would be much better biking 45 minutes a day 3 days a week, running for at least 20 min without stopping 2 times a week, and then walking the final two days. Plus keep in mind, you have to lift weights! The more muscles you have on your body, the higher your metabolism is which will help you burn more calories.

1. You Eat to Much

If you're not losing weight, chances are you're eating to much. Calories do matter! So don't snack at 12 a.m. in the morning on chips or ice cream anymore. Even if you aren't doing that, you could very well still be eating to much. I suggest breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, then your done! Sometimes at night you can be hungry. If you are some good choices are crackers and cheese, cottage cheese and pineapple, fruit, or yogurt.
