The 4 BEST Ways to Motivate Yourself to Eat Healthy

Eating healthy all the time can be a challenge, especially if you are trying to lose weight. It's not always going to be so easy, but if you have a strong mental mindset and you have the right motivation behind what you're doing, nothing can stand in your way. These are four of the best tips to keep you on track.

Thinking Long-Term definitely works for me the most. Anytime I see donuts or see that theirs some ice cream in the freezer, I think about why I'm eating healthy. If your trying to lose weight, think about what your new body will look like if you keep on track and how much more happier you'll be. If you simply just want to maintain your weight, think about how bad that kind of food is for your health and how bad you'll feel after eating it.

Rewarding Yourself is my personal favorite. Anytime you go a whole week eating healthy or you reach a goal of yours, reward yourself. It could be a little shopping spree, some time to yourself so you can relax,  going to a fun amusement park, or simply just hanging out with some of your friends.

Setting Realistic Goals is very important. A lot of people give up so easily because they set a goal like losing 30 pounds in 90 days. Unless you way 600 pounds, that is a very tough and hard goal to accomplish. Instead, setting goals like losing 5 pounds or dropping a pant size in a month is a lot more manageable and realistic.

A Cheat Meal is a great thing that everyone should have. Whether you decide to have a cheat meal once a week or once every two weeks is up to you, but I think we should all have one. A lot of people have different opinions on this topic. Some feel you should only eat certain amounts of food with your cheat meal, other feel like you should eat whatever you want. Truthfully, it all depends on your goals. One important thing to remember is once you get out of your seat, your cheat meal is over! Don't store leftovers. Once your done, your done.
